Seezyn

The Seezyn(s) are Changing

I’ve known Seezyn for a while and he has been one of my favorite artists for a minute.

A lot of people recognize Seezyn from the work he did on the late Juice Wrld’s song “Hide” which was featured on the soundtrack to Spiderman Into the Spider-Verse and I would be lying if I didn’t say this is the first that I had heard about him. However, I noticed something about him on that song that got me hooked. For many it can be easy to fade into the background as a feature on a Juice Wrld song, but Seezyn held his own and delivered a verse that (in my opinion) was just as strong as Juice’s.

From that point on I was intrigued by the Cincinnati rapper and began following his career closer. His music touches on that melodic rap we have all become so fond of, delivering sad boy anthems that we all can relate to at one point or another. Recently he’s been experimenting with different genres and revamped his sound, to a dark 80’s Pop that fits extremely well with his voice.

Last week he dropped a single Murder on the Dancefloor which has that 80s Pop beat and vibe to it. Very similar to something you would hear on a Tory Lanez “Alone at Prom” album. This goes perfectly with single that preceeded that one Mrs. Right, and leads me to believe that we may be seeing an album in the near future full of this new Seezyn.

I can’t understate how much I enjoy Seezyn’s music. He’s an artist that makes beautiful music which people can relate to. Music can change people’s lives and give them an outlet where they can be comforted by the fact that they are not going through it alone. Perhaps even their favorite artist has gone through the same things. I have the utmost respect for Seezyn and am looking forward to continuing to watch him grow as an artist.
