Melodic rappers are a dime a dozen these days so when you find someone who is able to seperate themselves you have to tap in. 4TUNAT is another example of this.
Atlanta is one of the biggest hip-hop cities on the planet and at only 22 years old 4TUNAT is the next heir to the throne. He’s making a little different music than we’ve heard come out of the ATL in recent years and tapping into genres even as far as punk-pop. He’s not limited to one genre and has been expirimenting more recently with blending rap and genres such as house music with his new song “High Life Fashion”.
I first came across 4TUNAT with his song “Long Time Ago” where he belts out this vulnerable-catchy chorus to the point where you can almost feel his pain. A lot of rappers nowadays try to create this feeling for their listeners, but its difficult to succeed in such a way that can create a memorable song. 4TUNAT not only has the songwriting ability to relate to his listeners, but also echoes a unique voice with a professional mixing that is what makes the complete package.
While he has yet to drop his 1st studio album, he has dropped a number of singles and an EP in 2023 titled, See You Soon which was a curation of some of his best songs to date. The project not only shows his versatility, but also his songwriting ability. He creates these songs that are almost like journal entries of his life. The vast majority of his songs are speaking on personal experiences that he has been through in his life which are the most authentic version of music. In addition to his singles he has been a part of a number of features with his peers and upcoming artists such as Destroy Lonely, midwxst, Bōlají and more.
On Friday he will be releasing a new single along with a music video and I’m excited to see what he has in store for us this time. If you haven’t tapped into his music yet, one thing you can expect is to always be kept on your toes with this one. He will never fail to surprise us and keep giving us hits to enjoy for years to come.
